LOCAL TRADITIONS

We will take you to discover some of the local traditions of the island like the first town in Cozumel, “El Cedral” where you will visit one Mayan vestige, then we will take you around the island for you to be able to meet the other side of Cozumel, after we will take you to meet the origins and process of the chocolate at Xu’naan, the meaning and uses of the Mayan honey, the origins and uses of the vanilla and you will be introduced to the Mexican local coffee brands in the same place you will be invited a delicious, original and handcrasfted tequila tasting.

To finish this experience we will take you to the city, to a little “fondita” (small homemade food place) for you to enjoy the real, traditional Yucateco food for lunch with the “comida del dia”.

Meeting Point

For cruising guests arriving at SSA or Puerta Maya: Hotel “El Cid”

For cruising guests arriving at Punta Langosta: Out front “Hooters”.

For guests staying in the island: We pick you up at your location.

For guests arriving from the Riviera Maya: Pick up at the Cozumel Ferry Terminal.

Itinerary

Place (1) El Cedral. This is the first settlement on the repoblation of Cozumel.

Place (2) Xu’naan (honey and chocolate presentation)

Place (3) Tequilera. In here you will be provided with the degustation of the finest real Mexican Tequila.

Place (4) “Las Flamitas”. This is a local “fondita” where you will taste the real Mexican Yucateco food.

Entrance to the places, water and local beer during the tour and lunch.
